The great thing about being a DIY’er (Do It Yourselfer) is that when you can’t find something the way you like it, you can try to make it yourself. That’s what we did with a pair of plain Toms canvas shoes. I love Toms’ slip-on canvas shoes because they are comfortable and flexible. I use them to dance in and play in. I also love them because every time we buy a pair of their shoes they give a pair of shoes to a child who needs a pair but cannot afford any. And, that’s just plain nice.
I’ve known my friend Pearl since I was a baby. We met when we were 18 months old! Even though we’ve never gone to the same school and we have really different styles & personalities, she is one of my best friends. I like her because she is very creative, smart, silly and friendly. My fashion style is a little bit like Audrey Hepburn (we share the same birthday, too): simple, classic, vintage. I don’t like busy patterns on my clothes and I love pretty ballet slippers, simple boots, or when I am dressed more casual I like Camper shoes’ slip ons or TOM’s shoes because they are super easy to put on and super comfortable, but still chic. Did you know that if you buy a pair of TOM’s shoes, they will give one to a child in need who can’t afford shoes? Cool, huh? Pearl’s style is a little more hip, and a little more tom-boyish. I see her wear interesting shorts and shirts a lot and she wears chunky Doc Marten boots, too!
